ATLAS is the new main partner of the DHB

Dortmund, 17 December 2024 – The German Handball League will be secure and stable in the future. The new main partnership with ATLAS will start on 1 January 2025. The DHB, based in Dortmund, and the family company also based in the Westphalian metropolis have agreed on a cooperation for the next three years.

Hendrik Schabsky, CEO of ATLAS and DHB’s chairman Mark Schober recently signed the partnership agreement at Dortmunder Schuhfabrik. We share a common path," says Hendrik Schabsky. The DHB has made impressive progress in recent years - with over 760,000 members and a steadily increasing relevance of handball sports, not least through the women’s and men’s world championships. This development fits perfectly with our own values: continuous commitment and consistency. In the coming year, when we celebrate our 115th anniversary, we see the partnership with DHB as a strong sign of shared visions and success. "

ATLAS will be featured on the men’s and women’s national jerseys from the new year onwards. In addition, ATLAS will use the digital and physical presence around the home games and activate the partnership through social media communication. This addresses aspects such as internationality, digitalisation and sustainability. But the focus is initially on a successful start to 2025 and the sporting highlights.

STRONG PARTNERSHIP

“We share a passion for handball and ATLAS is a partner that not only lives our values, but also embodies a combination of tradition and progress. I am convinced that we will grow together in the coming years and put the sport of handball on an even more stable footing - whether on the pitch or beyond. With such a strong partnership, we have the best prerequisites for moving safely and steadily into the future.”

ATLAS CEO Schabsky is full of anticipation: “We are looking forward to the first international matches in Flensburg and Hamburg and the Men's World Cup that will immediately follow. Another highlight will be the Women's World Cup in December 2025, especially the main round and the quarter-finals in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle.”
